Simmering on Summer Sun,
Cucumbers glisten beneath the sheath of leaf cover,
Amongst the tomatoes of all sizes and shapes,
Egg shaped plants pervade,
Tastes of a never over summer,
Whilst we know winter is coming,
Yet fall boasts an unbeknownst bounty for all us Western Slopers,
Summer squash screams sacrificially for you to savour,
Bubba Blue ginger bulges beneath the dome beds,
Okra of a non-verdant variety grows northerly to the sky,
Successions and successions of salad greens groweth,
Sweet potatoes and shallots stay grounded to future flavour your dishes,
Un-Fortuitously onions and leeks look lovely,
Fourteen different potato flowers flower allowing us some new ones to cheekily scower,
Five farmers frantically fend off foes,
Forever farming a chemical-free more-ganically grown fruit of our labor for all,
Feeding our friends with a fusillade of flowers,
Many a brow sweats cleaning, harvesting, planting, sanitizing, seeding, weeding, watering and processing all products we bring to market,
Ohm to farmers, Ohm to chefs, and Ohm to whatever deserves your devotion!
Thanks to all Buckhorn Gardens supporters for forever flowering farmers for our future. Here are some pics worth at least 1,000 words!
